1st Annual Group Trip, Excellence El Carmen

Group trips can be amazing experiences when put together correctly.  At JetSetPilot Travel, we’ve had the opportunity to organize Porsche Driving Tours in Germany, Penn State Football Tours in Ireland and countless Destination Weddings in Italy and the Caribbean.  Each and every one that we’ve attended has offered something you simply cannot get when traveling in pairs or small groups.

This year we were so excited to host the 1st annual Adults Only Group vacation to all-inclusive resort Excellence El Carmen in Dominican Republic. This trip included an amazing group of 37 people who were celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and many just looking to get away from jobs, kids and the winter weather!

Our group all chose upgraded Excellence Club rooms ranging from swim-out suites, pool view suites, ocean front suites and 2-story suites with rooftop terrace!  The group came together on the second night at a private cocktail hour, but aside from that it was up to each guest how much time they wanted to spend alone vs with the group.  Personally, one afternoon I could only be found lounging on my outdoor bed, and was asleep by 10pm at least two nights (hey – it’s my vacation!).  The resort also surprised us with a private roof top dinner, optional to our guests but most decided to join us to experience the amazing views and steak dinner.

Nightly shows, the martini bar and the dance club is where you could find at least a handful of JetSetPilot travelers, and one night there may have been a set of night owls hanging by the pool until 3am.

El Carmen is the newest Excellence resort opened in September 2016 and is known for great pools, entertainment, food, and a simply amazing Spa! We had a few spa veterans on our trip who absolutely raved about the massages and hydrotherapy circuit. Several guests went back for multiple massages and hydrotherapies!
